At these points, technical and quotidian language practices just crack wide open the smooth pavement of the information superhighway. I personally notice way more bumps than gentle curving highway. It’s either me, or the infrastructure is giving way.

A password with nothing but digits..sigh..the last definition you might fine leaks into the world of really instrumental technical meaning — a word is a 16 or 32-bit long chunk of data, not necessarily a legible passwordy thing to a normal human who might be managing a crap AT&T account. Not a password.
