This courtesy of my chum <a href=\"http:\/\/art-design.umich.edu\/people\/detail\/john_marshall\">John Marshall<\/a>, who I visited last year to be a guest in his fantastic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/julianbleecker\/sets\/72157622508453535\/\">Heliotropic Smart Surfaces<\/a> design studio which, if I remember correctly \u2014 John and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plyarch.com\/\">Karl<\/a> had no idea (in a good way!) what would happen other than that they would look into &#8220;smart&#8221; and the sun and surfaces. Brilliant guy, he is. That&#8217;s the way to run a creative studio.
