Bluebox is a unique bluetooth software and hardware application designed and developed by Maria N. Stukoff and Jon Wetherall for the creative use of mobile phones via bluetooth. as part of this development we are invited to trail the first phase of blubox technology – called fotobox an interactive installation with a public LED screen display.
Why do I blog this? The proximity-based character of this project and the way it uses range-constrained communications technologies to create an aesthetic and, presumably, social experience is compelling. I’m particularly drawn to the virtual garden project, a game design that features a virtual garden proposal which changes over time and is effected by the public. Reminds me a bit of Chojo.
